Job Overview
Our client, one of the fastest-growing solar engineering, procurement, and construction companies in the nation, is looking for a Foreman / Lead Electrician to lead a team in installing solar modules for a large-scale commercial project starting in April. This person will be leading/supervising a team of 5-6 electricians and solar installers and will be integral in ensuring the project is efficient and completed on schedule.
Responsibilities
Supervise all team members to ensure responsibilities are carried out efficiently and effectively including (but not limited to): the selection of a rooftop lead, ensuring time tracking best practices are adhered to, managing the daily and weekly schedules of the team, and providing feedback on team capabilities
Submit order requests for materials and equipment, and oversee and ensure the procurement, maintenance, and installation of all electrical components
Create a weekly job plan with team responsibilities and objectives
Identify and map obstructions
Plan electrical and conduit runs
Plan and execute the balance of system takeoff
Test and commission the system and the end of the installation
Sit for final project inspection (if necessary)
Compensation

Successful Candidates Must Have:
At least 3 years of experience as a foreman or lead electrician on solar installation projects OR at least 1 year of experience as a foreman or lead electrician on a 5-megawatt solar installation project
At least 3 years of solar module installation experience
Experience with commercial and industrial solar installations using 480V or 208V 3 Phase systems
Leadership, communications, planning, and organizational skills
Ideal Candidates May Also Have:
Experience with Q Cells 480W solar modules
Experience with Solaredge inverters and optimizers
Experience with AlsoEnergy or Locus Energy monitoring platforms
Experience with Unirac equipment and ballasts, such as the RM5 system
Experience with Unirac MetalX or S-5! Standing seam rackingOSHA 30 certification
